A2: Perhaps it is because of the spectacular speed with which our vision operates, that most of us fail to take into account just how long, zig-zaggy and very indirect is the business of sight. This results in us having unrealistic [read: inaccurate] expectations. Factoring the indirection of sight into the over all idea of vision, goes along way towards bringing our expectations in line with the reality of light and colour.
